Fort Wayne Metals Embraces City Spirit, Welcomes 1800+ for Celebration Event at Downtown Fort Wayne Destinations

Fort Wayne Metals reserved downtown Fort Wayne destinations at The Landing and Promenade Park to host more than 1800 attendees for an exclusive employee appreciation event on Saturday, June 15.

“Fort Wayne Metals is committed to investing in our people as well as our community, and we enjoyed celebrating with our employees and their families while supporting local businesses and artists,” President of Fort Wayne Metals Jeremy Rohrs said. “Our company was founded on the belief that investing in our city's economic development is essential to our mission. When our city thrives, we all thrive; this event was just one way that we can walk that out.”

Employees, along with their families and guests, were invited to experience complimentary culinary dishes and drinks from Dana’s, Marquee, Mercado, Nava, and Papi’s Pizza Co., along with live performances from The Legendary Trainhoppers and Magicman Rusty at The Landing.

Promenade Park carried a festival feel, where attendees could take part in facepainting, sand art, dinosaur meet and greet, princess meet and greet, IndianaWILD animal experience, and Pop Pop Balloon activities. The Band “Decades” was featured at the Sweetwater Band Shell at the Auer Lawn, while Goeglein’s Catering offered delicious food options for all ages at the Park Foundation Pavilion.

Fort Wayne Metals is preparing for three additional community events in 2024, with a Tincaps Family Night on Saturday, June 22, charity golf outing and tailgate party benefitting the Boys and Girls Clubs of Fort Wayne on Saturday, July 20, and two panel builds with Habitat for Humanity on Thursday, Sept. 19.
